What we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have — for both the RydeWitUs rider and driver apps.
Last updated: October 2026 · RydeWitUs is operated by FemTech Bahamas, Marsh Harbour, Abaco, Bahamas.
Account info such as your full name, email, phone number, and password (securely hashed — we never see it in plain text). Rider profile details like a photo, saved addresses, and ride history. Driver profile details including license, insurance, background/police record, and vehicle information, collected for verification before approval. Ride data such as pickup/dropoff locations and addresses, fares, timestamps, and the 4-digit ride verification code shared between rider and driver. Precise location while the app is in use, for matching and live tracking. In-app chat messages between a matched rider and driver. A device push-notification token, so we can send ride updates. Details you submit through a safety report or the in-app SOS button.
Riders: location sets your pickup point and finds nearby drivers, and is shared with your matched driver only during an active ride. Drivers: while online, your location is shown to nearby riders, and shared with your matched rider during an active trip. RydeWitUs currently operates only within Abaco, Bahamas, and location is also used to confirm you're inside that service area before a ride can be booked or accepted. You can disable location access in your device settings, but the app can't match or track rides without it.
Card details are collected and processed directly by Stripe, our payment processor — we don't store your full card number. We keep a record of each transaction's amount, date, and status to show your ride history, calculate driver payouts, and handle refunds or disputes.
Your matched driver or rider (name, photo, vehicle details, live location during a ride, and chat messages). Service providers who help run the app — our database and backend provider, our payment processor, and push-notification delivery — who only receive what they need to do their job. We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect the safety of a rider, driver, or the public. We do not sell your personal information.
Both apps include an in-ride SOS button. Using it may place a call to local emergency services and/or send an internal report to our safety team with the ride ID, the people involved, and a timestamp, so we can review and follow up. Submitting a safety report about another user works the same way, and may be used to suspend or remove an account that violates our terms.
We keep account and ride records for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, tax, and safety-record obligations. You can request deletion of your account at any time — see Section 9.
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit, database-level access controls so riders and drivers only see what's relevant to their own rides, and optional two-factor authentication you can enable on your account. No system is 100% secure, but we work to keep your information accessible only to the people and systems that need it.
RydeWitUs is not directed at children. You must be at least 18 to create a rider account, or a parent/guardian may use the app on a minor's behalf. Drivers must be at least 20. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
